graphs of deportess with particulars as to offences periodically sent to Consul General for information of Viceroy Canton. No arrangement has been made for Chinese authorities preventing retum to Hong Kong of deportees but if they return they are severely punish- ed. If Transvaal wish to repatriate Chinese to Canton Swatow Amoy Foochow Government of Hong Kong will arrange for reception of deportees here and banish them to destination as is done for Straits Settlements and Indo China deportees. Transvaal Gov- ernment must send in advance name of steamer carrying deportees their description with photographs and statement of reasons for repatriation.
